General glutton for punishment and stepped in wherever help was needed. Many times told I had too much on my plate. No other members stepped up for many jobs so I took them on.

January 13, 2021

After much consideration, I advised the club that I would no longer be able to host the club phone number. It was an out-of-pocket, personal expense that I could no longer afford to continue. As for the club social media accounts, I have been asked to turn over the social media accounts to the webmaster, John Lorenc, but unfortunately, the accounts are tied to my personal Business Manager account on Facebook and I can not find a way to remove them from there. I am therefore forced to close them down so that the club can recreate a new page and group as they see fit.

It looks as though, according to the NPARC website (see NPARC Executive for the year 2020-2021), that I am still the head of the committees for Club Photos and Club History. I guess I will continue to perform those duties to the best of my ability.

Well it seems that my services are no longer required as Treasurer. My name was removed from the list of candidates for the 2020-2021 Elections. I will more than likely be removing my services from the club including such things as Big Event support, phone number hosting, social media manager, etc..

I may stay as club historian unless it I am asked to step down as that as well. Should this come to be, this site will probably cease to exist as I will no longer wish to host the site or pay for the annual domain registration. As of this writing, I have yet to receive a single donation to help offset the costs associated with running this site.

May 2019

Prior to May 11, 2019, it became apparent, that the current NPARC executive was unhappy with the IT services that were being provided by my company at no charge to the club. Through the forming of an 'IT' Committee at the wish of the President, Stephen Riddle, VA3FLF, I realized that despite it being said that there was 'nothing personal' about the forming of this IT Committee, I realized that I was essentially being fired/replaced. Therefore on May 11, 2019, I filed my resignation along with my objections to the direction the 'IT' committee was headed and with the choices they were recommending. One such recommendation was to scrap the use of OpenKM to track and catalog all club materials. The recommended choice was to use a flat-file, non-indexed system on Google Drive. (smh)

I have since decided to continue on with the position of Club Historian. This site though is being provided solely by myself, Clayton Mattatall, VE3AUO, through my company, Techno Rising and is NOT part of the NPARC infrastructure. This is a personal and private site and is being maintained by me and is not under the control of the NPARC.
